The Inspiration
When Shami Kalra sought a design for a unique watch, Peter Cate responded with a masterpiece inspired by the world of motorsport. Captivated by its essence, the decision was made to bring it to life. However, a minimum of 500 orders is essential for its realization. A portion of the profits will aid Peter Cate’s return to racing at the Nürburgring. The final design reveal is set for October 15th, with orders open until December 31st.
The Nürburgring Saga
The Nürburgring Nordschleife, christened the ‘Green Hell’ by Sir Jackie Stewart, stands as a symbol of racing tenacity. Hosting the Nürburgring 24 hours endurance race since 1970, it’s a magnet for global racers. This track, a fusion of the historic Nordschleife and the modern Formula 1 circuit, spans nearly 16 miles and boasts over 80 challenging corners. Its unpredictable weather and demanding layout make it a formidable challenge, even for seasoned racers.
