Launching on June 16, this highly anticipated racing game will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, through platforms such as the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
F1® 23 brings the exhilarating 2023 Formula 1 season to life, featuring every team, driver, and circuit. This includes the much-awaited Las Vegas Grand Prix and Losail International Circuit, Qatar. The game also marks the continuation of EA SPORTS’ partnership with back-to-back World Champion Max Verstappen, whose helmet now sports EA branding. Verstappen is also the cover star for the digital-exclusive F1® 23 Champions Edition.
The game’s epic story mode, Braking Point, returns with a fresh narrative that follows the careers of young racer Aiden Jackson and protagonist Devon Butler. Now teammates at Konnersport Racing Team, they face new characters, rivalries, and racing challenges in their quest to compete against real-world F1® teams and drivers.
F1® 23 offers an upgraded handling system from the previous season, providing more predictable car behavior and improved vehicle physics. This results in better traction when braking, accelerating, and cornering. The game’s realistic feel is further enhanced by incorporating actual F1® team feedback, balancing aerodynamics and tyre grip, and improving engine torque and inertia for more authentic throttle control.
The game introduces a 35% race distance option and red flags, adding new strategic elements to the gameplay. The full 2023 season calendar is included, with the addition of Las Vegas and Lusail, and three legacy circuits: Paul Ricard (France), Shanghai (China), and Portimão (Portugal).
F1® 23 also debuts the F1® World hub, a new feature that offers content inspired by the real-world Formula 1 calendar. This hub combines multiple game modes, including Time Trial and Grand Prix, and introduces a new progression system that lets players level up by completing challenges to unlock car upgrades, new liveries, race suits, and helmets.
The F1® 23 Champions Edition, a digital-exclusive, comes with exclusive content including the Max Verstappen Race Wear Pack, Braking Point 2 Icons and Vanity Item Pack, and more. A Standard Edition featuring EA SPORTS ambassador Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and Lando Norris will also be available from June 16.
