This pedal car, produced for California’s American Retro, was purchased by the seller a year ago and refinished to resemble the 1952 “Grant Piston Ring Special” Ferrari 375 Indianapolis race car that didn’t qualify for that year’s 500. The stamped steel bodywork is now finished in white, complemented by red wheels, decals, and race numbers. Custom chrome elements include a windshield frame, grille, steering wheel, and side mirrors, while black powder-coated faux exhaust pipes add to the authentic look. Offered with a bill of sale, this pedal car is available in Roswell, Georgia.
Under current ownership, the steel bodywork was refinished in white, and a custom chrome grille, windscreen frame, and side mirrors were added. The faux exhaust pipes were powder-coated in black. The car features Grant Piston Ring Ferrari SPL and Johnnie Parsons decals, as well as #6 race numbers. A Scuderia Ferrari shield adorns the nose. The pedal car measures approximately 50″ long, 27″ wide, and 21″ to the top of the steering wheel.
The stamped-steel faux wire wheels, finished in red, feature two-eared silver-finished center spinners and are fitted with 12″ solid rubber front tires and 13.5″ rears.
The cockpit boasts a single seat trimmed in black vinyl upholstery and a fabricated instrument panel with faux gauges. A replacement three-spoke steering wheel directs the front wheels.
Twin red powder-coated foot pedals drive the rear wheels and also provide braking input when back-pedaled.
