The LEGO Group is excited to unveil its latest range of products, spotlighting the thrilling world of racing in collaboration with renowned automotive and racing brands like BMW, McLaren Racing & Senna, and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team. This launch aims to capture the essence of iconic vehicles across various LEGO themes, celebrating the fervent passion racing fans have for the sport and offering families engaging play experiences as they bring legendary cars to life.
Set to debut on March 1st, the lineup includes two LEGO Speed Champions sets developed with McLaren Racing and BMW, a pair of LEGO Technic models from the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula 1 Team, a LEGO Icons car celebrating McLaren and the Senna brand, and two race-inspired LEGO City cars.
A highlight of the collection is the LEGO ICONS McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna, a tribute to one of F1’s most victorious cars, the 1988 McLaren MP4/4. This meticulously detailed set, crafted in partnership with McLaren Racing and the Senna brand, features working steering, rod suspension, an adjustable rear wing, and more, alongside a display stand for the car and an Ayrton Senna minifigure.
The range also offers versatility with the same car model available in two versions for different age groups. For example, the LEGO Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance caters to adults with a 1:8 scale model boasting authentic details and functional elements, while a pull-back variant is designed for kids, encouraging them to recreate thrilling race moments.
For younger fans, the LEGO Speed Champions 2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car allows children to immerse themselves in the construction of a model featuring the team’s iconic black-and-papaya livery. Alongside, the LEGO Technic McLaren Formula 1 Race Car from 2022 continues to offer a shared building experience for families.
Additionally, the LEGO Speed Champions BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M Hybrid V8 Race Cars pack presents two detailed models and minifigure drivers for fans to enjoy competitive play post-assembly. LEGO City enriches the racing theme with two new sets designed for children, including the LEGO City Green Race Car and the LEGO City Race Car and Car Carrier Truck, each packed with features and minifigures for imaginative play.
