This summer, Xbox and Porsche are taking the gaming and motorsport worlds by storm with the release of a limited collection of consoles, each adorned with six iconic Porsche racing liveries.
The evolution of racing games has reached unprecedented heights of realism, paving the way for innovative partnerships. Xbox and Porsche have joined forces to bring the legendary design aesthetics of Porsche to the gaming platform, particularly through popular games like the Forza series.
These Porsche liveries have etched their mark in the annals of racing history. The Xbox 75th Anniversary collection celebrates six of Porsche’s most memorable designs by reinterpreting them for the Xbox Series X console and its controllers. This summer, we will reveal these six limited-edition console designs at major automotive and gaming events worldwide:
- The Porsche 911 GT1, the champion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998.
- The Porsche Hippie, a unique race car decked out in vibrant blue and green “hippie” colors.
- The Porsche Pink Pig, a pink race car with butcher-style cuts, a livery that has achieved cult status.
- The Porsche Salzburg, the car that secured Porsche’s first overall victory at Le Mans.
- The Porsche Racing Edition, often dubbed the “white whale” or “Moby Dick” due to its massive tail.
- The Porsche 75th, the current race livery on the 963.
Although these consoles are not available for retail purchase, fans can participate in a sweepstakes over the next four months for a chance to win a console and controller from the Porsche and Xbox collaboration. Even for those who are not motorsport enthusiasts, the unique color schemes transform the Xbox consoles into desirable design pieces.
Fans in the U.S., U.K., and Germany can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the Porsche-inspired Xbox Series X consoles and matching Xbox Wireless Controllers by visiting www.porschexboxsweepstakes.com from June 8 to October 1. Each Porsche-inspired console will be accompanied by a video shared on Porsche and Xbox social channels, starting with the Porsche 963 / 75th Anniversary console.
Since 2005, Porsche and Microsoft’s Turn 10 Studios have been working together on co-branded elements for Porsche and the Forza franchise. From the original Forza Motorsport to the latest Forza Horizon 5, Porsche vehicles have been a staple in the racing lineup available to players. This partnership continually offers fans new opportunities to experience driving a Porsche, further cementing the automaker’s reputation as a pioneer in motorsport.
