This Michael Schumacher helmet poster commemorates the helmet he wore for his Formula 1 debut in 1991. Unique to the time, the helmet blended the black, red, and gold from the German flag with his sponsor’s design. A blue sky-like halo tops it off—literally—to simulate the sky.
The race lasted just 60 seconds. Schumacher’s clutch failed on the race’s opening lap, but he caught the attention of the F1 community. He went on to a storied career spanning more than a decade and a half. Mick Schumacher wore the same design on the 30th anniversary of his father’s first race during the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix.
